LAB SUMMER INTENSIVE

Locust Projects, Miami’s premier non-profit exhibition space for experimental contemporary art, is pleased to announce its fifth annual Locust Art Builders (LAB), a collaborative educational experience and exhibition opportunity for a select group of South Florida High School students. For three weeks, from June 23 to July 11, 20- 25 young artists work with established contemporary visual artists to learn the practical and creative aspects of mounting a public exhibition in collaboration with their peers.

Taking place in Locust Projects’ 5,000 square foot space in Miami’s Design District, the intensive LAB experience culminates with an exhibition that will be open to the public. Exhibitions often take the form of large-scale installations featuring various media such as video and sculpture.

LAB MFA

For the third year, Locust Projects is pleased to announce an open call to South Florida graduate-level artists for a solo or collaborative exhibition in Locust Projects' Project Room during summer 2014. Artists currently enrolled in MFA studio art programs at universities in Florida may apply.
