While sectors such hospitality, aviation, tourism and automotive, have taken a severe pounding in 2020, others have managed to survive - perhaps even thrive. One such sector is yachting. Anecdotally, a number of yacht brokers have told me that they’ve achieved very good sales this season. Conversely, charter businesses and private charter yachts have had a stinker, but that’s a different story.
So why are new yachts seemingly flying off the shelves? Boating captures the mood of social-distancing and escapism rather nicely. After all, you can’t get much further from the madding crowd than in the middle of the ocean.
The 35th annual Palm Beach International Boat Show, March 25th-28th. Located along the waterfront and Flagler Drive in Downtown West Palm Beach, FL. The show is featured more than $1.2 billion worth of yachts and accessories, including hundreds of boats ranging from 8-foot inflatables to super yachts nearly 200 feet in length.
Get outside and enjoy live music and refreshments at the show's famous floating cocktail lounges. Guests are also invited to come by boat and may tie up to free docks located south of the in-water displays.
Elevate your experience in Palm Beach and become a VIP. The Windward VIP Experience is an indoor and outdoor oasis that includes early admission to the show, a premium open bar, hors d'oeuvres, concierge service and much more.
