Can the United States Afford to Go Down the Socialist Path?

Socialism has been dead for long in the West but has recently started becoming cool again thanks to liberal politicians like Bernie Sanders.

Socialism has been dead for long in the West but has recently started becoming cool again thanks to liberal politicians like Bernie Sanders.

Some Millennials believe that socialism is the solution to their economic problems. It was surprising that the presidential contender or the other leftist socialist Democrats could even be considered as serious candidates in the United States.

Today’s member of the socialist army does not walk around dressed in red, with a hammer and a sickle. It is your local official, administrator, your child’s teacher, scientists funded by the hardworking American taxpayer dollar, who are now passing socialism propaganda as scientific facts. The mainstream media is also complicit in glorifying socialism and obscuring its failure.

Regardless of your age, you have witnessed a socialist country fail or abandon the idea altogether. In the 1950s and 60s, it was communist China, where 45 million people starved. In the 1980 and 90s, it was the economic collapse of the Soviet Union in the 1990s, and currently, the world is watching the collapse of the oil-rich Venezuela thanks to socialism.

Regardless of time and region, all socialist countries have the same fate over and over. Countries like Cuba and Venezuela walked the same path liberals want the US to take, and in a few years, everybody was trying to escape the socialist Utopia scam. Given the outcome of other countries which tried the failed experiment, the United States cannot afford to repeat the mistake.

In the United States, proof of socialism failures is witnessed in the public education system. Unproductive teachers are allowed to remain while hardworking ones barely get recognized. Governments continue pumping billions with no result to show for it. Additionally, every student receives a participation trophy, and hostility towards charter schools, which encourage individuality and hard work, is at its climax. Scholars have become the mouthpiece of socialism to brainwash children to abandon the values of hard work and self-reliance.

Nazi-socialists have no respect for private property and think everything belongs to everyone.

For that reason, they demand everything to be free and paid for by others. They believe owing property is a result of privilege rather than hard work despite property owners putting relentless effort to acquire the same through hard work. Consequently, they have no reservations in destroying and looting other people’s property.

Socialism is anti-American and incompatible with freedom. The system depends on collectivism, thus killing the individuality and individual effort. Nazi-socialists believe the government can decide what is better for the people than the people can do for themselves. The United States succeeded in becoming the world leader because of individual initiative and the enterprising behavior of Americans who did not rely on government handouts.

Be Well
